In this tour, we will drive south on Highway one to see the gorgeous waterfalls Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss. If the conditions are good we will also see the peak of the mighty Eyjafjallajökull, the volcano which erupted in 2010 and grounded all airlines in Europe.

Continuing down the coast we will see Skógafoss waterfall, one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Iceland, it is also optional to take a 500 steps hike and experience amazing view from the top of the waterfall.

From Skógarfoss we will take a drive along the coast to the spectacular black sand beach, there we will be completely alone enjoying the black sand and the Atlantic ocean. Continuing along the coast we will head to Reynisfjara to see the amazing basaltic column on the beach.

Not far from Reynisfjara is a cute little village called Vík and there we will enjoy our lunch.

After our much-needed lunch break, we will stop by at Dyrhólaey, a famous Puffin island in the summer. Dyrhólaey is a 120-meter high promontory and has a stunning view over the black sanded coastline.

Our last stop before heading back to Reykjavík is Sólheimajökull, a glacier outlet coming from Mýrdalsjökull, it is really amazing to see from a distance.
